The joy of scrapbooking
I feel like I’m currently getting all my fashion and culture info from the New York Times. I love this piece on photographer Bill Cunningham’s scrapbooks, in which he collated cuttings, photos and ephemera from his time as a milliner in 1950s New York. His two scrapbooks are part of the New-York Historical Society exhibition, Celebrating Bill Cunningham (until September 9).
I used to be an ardent scrapbooker but I don’t do it much any more. I keep collating the scraps, but don’t have anywhere to put them – partly because my books are almost full and no-one makes good scrapbooks any more! Maybe I should do a book binding course…

I’d heard about the exhibition but hadn’t seen the scrapbooks. How lovely!
